In particular, go to (S)etup -> (C)onfig from the home screen, then search (Ctrl-W) for "Customized Headers). You can then (A)dd the X-No-Archive: header, which you can access in the composer by hitting Ctrl-R while editing headers. I have From:, Reply-To:, etc. configured there, for when I want to change those values. -- Geoffrey Thomas http://ldpreload.com geofft@ldpreload.com From kleagkou at gmail.com Sun Sep 9 04:10:34 2012 From: kleagkou at gmail.com (Klearchos-Angelos Gkountras) Date: Tue Jun 12 15:14:53 2018 Subject: [Alpine-info] about gpg on debian Message-ID: i am using Debian Gnu / Linux testing and i want some help how to configurate alpine to use gnupg , I am new to alpine and I think for my self is the great mail cliet that makes me my job . Its manual, which includes instructions for configuring Alpine to use it, can be found at . -- HTH, DAn From hansstam at kpnplanet.nl Wed Sep 12 00:00:24 2012 From: hansstam at kpnplanet.nl (Hans Stam) Date: Tue Jun 12 15:14:53 2018 Subject: [Alpine-info] parts/attachements Message-ID: Hello.. In Setup one can set the viewer margin when reading and replying to mail. I set viewer margin Left & Right to 4 characters. Just wondering if it's possible to do the same in the compose window... that's all. I've read the setup help and unless i've missed something it can't be done. thanks james From W.Scheinast at web.de Mon Sep 24 14:02:18 2012 From: W.Scheinast at web.de (Werner Scheinast) Date: Tue Jun 12 15:14:53 2018 Subject: [Alpine-info] Setting Compose window margins In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: Am Samstag schrieb James Freer: > Is it possible to alter the margins in the compose window. There is a configuration "Composer Wrap Column" that defaults to 74. It is the maximum number of characters in a line, i.e. it defines your right margin. I think there is no way to specify a left margin. Problem with that: leafpad - crashes alpine gvim - doesn't load the quoted text. probably a way of fixing that but haven't looked into it yet. No doubt better just to stay with pico as it's tried and proven. thanks james From chappa at gmx.com Mon Sep 24 18:18:28 2012 From: chappa at gmx.com (Eduardo Chappa) Date: Tue Jun 12 15:14:53 2018 Subject: [Alpine-info] Setting Compose window margins In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: On Tue, 25 Sep 2012, James Freer wrote: > I noticed that but i was wondering if i'd missed something. I am very interested in the crash you are experiencing. Do you have a backtace? Also, did you add the "-f" option to gvim? I was not aware that gvim would not display quoted text. -- Eduardo http://patches.freeiz.com/alpine/ From hgs at dmu.ac.uk Tue Sep 25 02:42:37 2012 From: hgs at dmu.ac.uk (Hugh Sasse) Date: Tue Jun 12 15:14:53 2018 Subject: [Alpine-info] Setting Compose window margins In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: On Tue, 25 Sep 2012, James Freer wrote: > On Mon, 24 Sep 2012, Werner Scheinast wrote: > > > Am Samstag schrieb James Freer: > > > > > Is it possible to alter the margins in the compose window. > > > > There is a configuration "Composer Wrap Column" that defaults to 74. > > It is the maximum number of characters in a line, i.e. it defines your > > right margin. I don't consider myself a Vim expert by any means, but there is probably a way to bend it to your will. I've not used gvim with alpine, so don't know about the loading issue. > > thanks > james HTH Hugh
