Cache OPENINGTEXT information
Patch is available for version: alpine 2.00 alpine 2.01 alpine 2.10 alpine 2.11 alpine 2.20 alpine 2.21 Alpine, just like some mail services, can show a preview of the body of the message in the index screen, so you can recognize a message more quickly, have an idea of what it is about, or any other need you have. In order to see this text, you must either add the OPENINGTEXT or the OPENINGTEXTNQ to the index screen. The problem that this patch tries to fix is that Alpine does not cache this text. Applying this patch will make Alpine get this text only once. If you do not use this patch, then operations like resizing the screen, or marking the message deleted, or in the case that you loose your connection to the server that contains the folder you are reading, will make Alpine try to get that information again, which may result in considerable delay. Caching this information will result in speeding Alpine when you use the OPENINGTEXT or OPENINGTEXTNQ token. |
